Ryan John Polich was born on May 16, 1996 to Andrew and Kristine (Miller) Polich in Ames, Iowa. He graduated from North Polk High School in 2015. While attending North Polk, he was active in FFA, football, track, and baseball. Ryan was currently attending DMACC and planning to transfer to Iowa State next year. Ryan had lived in Sheldahl his entire life and was a member of Palestine Lutheran Church. He enjoyed sports, farming, raising goats and chickens, Iowa State basketball and football, and being with his family and friends.
Ryan passed away July 16, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident in Polk County at the age of 20.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Andrew and Kris Polich of Sheldahl; his maternal grandmother, Helen Miller of Kelley; his paternal grandparents, Lou and Joan Polich of Palm Harbor, Florida; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ervin Miller.
