From Nevada Representative May 21, 1912 (front page)

Death of Clarence L. Miller.

Clarence L. Miller, publisher of the Cedar Rapids Gazette, died very suddenly at his garage in that city Sunday afternoon, being stricken with apoplexy while he was fixing his automobile, and dying in the arms of Mrs. Miler, who happened to be with him at the moment. Mr. Miller had been a very successful newspaper man, and he was also head of the Allison hotel company and was connected with various other enterprises. He was married in Nevada about 1876, the senior editor of the Representative officiating, to Miss Rachel Letson of this city; and all the years since he has been a frequent visitor here on the occasion of Letson family reunions. He leaves his wife and one son and one daughter.
