From Nevada Representative April 13, 1904

Roland Rockets

The death of Mrs. E. E. Evens which was noted in the department two weeks ago, takes from us one of our most worthy and esteemed women. Mrs. Evens though not having been in the best of health for a time, was suddenly stricken with paralysis and died from the effects of that disease. Her first marriage was to Mr. Elliason and to them was born one son, Rev. Henry Elliason of North Dakota, who was not able to be present at the funeral. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Evens now living, number five, four sons and one daughter, all grown up and living at home. Her passing away brings sadness to a devoted home, a home noted for its peace and harmony, a home ideal in all the word implies. With Mr. Evens and his children, the writer bows in sympathy, knowing what it meas to have mother taken away. The funeral was largely attended, conducted by Rev. Smedal at Bergens church.
