Walter Nyswander a driver for the Standard Oil Company was instantly killed by a train on the Rock Island. Nyswander, with the curtains on his wagon seat drawn and wearing ear muffs, is supposed not to have heard the approaching train. Two of the four horses were killed. He is survived by a widow and four children.
