Mr. Adam Bradt, at the age of four score, passed away from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hezekiah Gilbert, at Ames, Dec. 30. The early life of Mr. Bradt was spent near Albany, N. Y. There occurred his marriage to Miss Sarah A. Brown; and his home continued in the Empire State till 1849, when he removed to Wisconsin, and in 1869 came to Iowa. His wife died at Cambridge, Story county, 1876. Of his three sons and five daughters all but one survive.
