From Nevada Representative June 24, 1896
Obituary.
Died, June 18th, 1896, at the home of his son, Dr. B. F. Winsett Esq. His death was the result of lung trouble induced by an attack of la grippe, some five years ago. His home the past five years has been in Nevada with the exception of some three months spent last winter in Arkansas and Texas. He received from his sons the best of flial and professional care; a care which no doubt prolonged and made more comfortable his last days but was powerless to prevent fatal result.
Mr. Winsett was born in Ohio in 1832. When a young man he settled in Black Hawk county, Iowa, where he remained until 1873. Thence he removed to Butler, Missouri. Mr. Winsett was a man of intelligence and worth and highly esteemed by those who knew him.
His funeral services were conducted at the residence Friday afternoon by Rev. A. B. Shrader of the Lutheran church. The remains, accompanied by his two surviving sons, Drs. B. F. and W. E. Winsett, were taken to Butler and tenderly laid beside those of members of his family gone before--his wife, two daughters and the lamented Dr. J. L.
Drs. Winsett and families have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
