OBITUARY

A Story County Early Settler Passes

Mrs. Jane Airhart, wife of the late David Airhart, died Monday, March 20, in Boone, at the home of her son, W. H. Airhart, and her funeal was held on Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. David Airhart came from Ogle county, Illinois to Story county, Iowa, in 1865, and settled on a farm northwest of Nevada. There they remained many years and reared their large family of children. They thence removed some fifteen years ago to Boone county where Mr. Airhart passed away. Of their fifteen children, nine survive, as follows: Mrs. Rose Crusa of Nebraska, W. H. of Boone, George of Whittmore, Fred of Des Moines, Clint of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Julia Bell of Boone, Mrs. Vionne Ballard of Story City, Ed of Boone and Mrs. Cora Frost of Story City.
