Funeral of Mrs. Templeton-Hardin
The funeral of Mrs. Jane Templeton Hardin was conducted Saturday afternoon by Dr. T. K. Hunter at the Presbyterian church. Relatives present were the grandson Clyde Templeton, who had come on from O'Neil, Nebraska, Mrs. Solomon Young of Des Moines, and the audience numbered by many old friends. Final rest is in the Templeton burial lot in the Nevada cemetery with the remains of the three members of the Templeton family who preceded her, and the chiseling of a single date on the monument which she reared years ago, completes the inscription thereon. Mrs. Templeton-Hardin's funeral being the most recent one held in the Presbyterian church is reminder that Mr. Templeton's in 1891 was the first one held in that building. His skilled hand has just finished beautifying the structure when he was stricken with the malady which snatched him away. Mr. and Mrs. Templeton were a kindly couple who from the time of their coming to Nevada in 1863 made many friends and no enemies.
