Mr. Fred Flickinger received a message early this morning that his mother, Mrs. Samuel Flickinger, had died suddenly in the night at the home of her son, Lynn at Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Flickinger left for Carroll on the first train this morning. The death of Mrs. Flickinger comes as a great shock as she had been in her usual health. She passed away in the night and was found this morning, death being a result of heart failure, is is supposed. No particulars have been learned. Mrs. Flickinger has been a resident of Story County for many years living on a farm near Elwell until the last few months. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Dwight of Maxwell, Fred of Nevada, and Lynn at Carroll.
