JOHN FERGUSON DIES LAST NIGHT
A Stroke of Paralysis the Immediate Cause of Death.
John Ferguson, a well known resident of near Iowa Center in pioneer days, died last night at the home of his son-in-law, Arthur Hempstock, south of town. He came out from Chicago some time ago and was not well, having suffered a stroke of paralysis during the month of July. About a week ago he had another stroke which has been followed by two of three others since. He was the father of large family of children, who are widely distributed over the country, some being in Chicago, Dakota, California and other parts. One son lives near Boone. A daughter, Mrs Alva Hoskins, who lives in Dakota, arrived last evening, just previous to the death of the father. Arrangements for the funeral have not been made as yet.
