Floyd Alderman, 65, who had been a resident of Nevada township during practically his entire lifetime, died at his home southeast of Nevada Thursday night.
His first wife, Sarah Ann Kopf Alderman died about 14 years ago in 1928. His second marriage was to Mrs. Hattie Handsaker in 1934 and she, with his four children by the first wife, survive.
The children are Maurice Alderman of Nevada, Gordon Alderman of Iowa City, Leora Hanson of Collins and Junia Swaim of Collins. There are also four grandchildren, they being Kathleen Hanson, Virgil Swaim, Loretta Swaim and Joyce Alderman, daughter of Gordon Alderman.
The deceased, a son of one of the pioneer families of the county, was a man of fine character and active in all church and civic affairs in the community in which he had spent his entire lifetime.
