Story City.

....Peter Hermanson died at his home, one mile south of town, last Sunday morning having suffered from a severe cold for about a week and terminating in pericarditis, a disease pertaining to the heart. He was a telegraph operator and was working at Deep River on the C. & N. W. Ry. south of Belle Plaine. He was a young man twenty eight years of age and of fine Christian character, having recently united with the Evangelical church. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and the members of his lodge, from Jewell took charge of the funeral exercises here on Tuesday. Rev. Farrow conducted the services. The family have our sincere sympathy in being called to mourn a son and brother so young and of so much promise....
