Ivan Everett Hansen, 86, of Nevada passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

Ivan was born February 12, 1929, near Exira, Iowa to Lawrence and Leila (Jensen) Hansen. He graduated from Oak Park Academy in 1947 and was united in marriage to Sarah (Sally) Hornbacher on August 1, 1948, in Nevada.

Ivan farmed for six years near Exira and then moved to Nevada where he farmed and drove school bus until 1971. He then worked at Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough, Man-An-So Feed/Fertilizer Company and Dick Ruggles Painting. Ivan was a member of the Nevada Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Ivan is survived by his sons: Eugene (Judy) Hansen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Delvin (JoAnn) Hansen of Harvey, North Dakota; his daughter, Yvonne (Garry) Losey of Spokane, Washington; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sally.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, December 5 at the Nevada Seventh Day Adventist Church. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens near Nevada.
