Lois Faye Stangeland was born on March 3, 1955 to Lester and Margaret (Yoder) Stangeland in Story City, Iowa. She graduated from South Hamilton High School in 1973 and worked 20 years as a lab technician for ADM. She lived most her life in the Jewell area and was a proud member of Victory Fellowship Church. Lois enjoyed fishing and garage sales-where she collected junk. But her greatest joy were her nieces and nephews.

Lois passed away at 60 years of age on January 3, 2016 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Lois is survived by three sisters, Linda Loux, Sharon (Bob) Lewis and Lisa (Matt) Larson, all of Jewell; two brothers, Ray Stangeland of Jewell and Don (Pam) Stangeland of Stanhope; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
