Arthur Kimble, Jr. was born November 18, 1941 to Arthur and Ida (Hunt) Kimble, Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana. Arthur worked as a carpenter for Friedrich Construction and Iowa State University. He enjoyed playing golf and watching baseball-especially his favorite team, the New York Yankees.
Arthur passed away at 74 years of age on December 8, 2015 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Arthur is survived by two sons, Arthur Kimble, III of Ames and Terral Kimble of New Orleans; two daughters, Shaprita Kimble of New Orleans and Chrystal Johns of New Orleans; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lucille Slater of Ames, Lettie Jean Homes of Ames and Betty (Sidney) Joseph of Fort Collins, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl James Kimble; and his sister, Katherine Ann Kimble.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
