From Nevada Representative January 28, 1891

Mrs. B. Green, at the age of about seventy-three, passed to her rest Sunday morning. The funeral services, conducted by Father McNamara at the Catholic church Tuesday were attended by a throng of old friends and neighbors, and then her remains were laid beside those of Uncle Jimmie, who crossed the river three years ago. Mrs. Green was a native of Ireland, coming to America, when about eighteen. After a few years residence near Philadelphia, Pa., she came in 1856, with her husband and trio of little ones, to which, a fourth child, Charles, was subsequently added, to plant a home among the pioneers of Nevada. Words are not wanting from those who have known her down through the following years to tell of the great kind heart, the spirit of Christian charity, and the cheerful nature that through trial and hardship could find a sunny side to life and brighten the pathway of others. Faith looked to the fulfillment of Uncle Jimmie's promise to "be waiting" for her and peacefully a worthy life closed.
