James Robertson died at his home in Grant township last Thursday. He was nearly 84 years of age having been born in Scotland, April 1807. Most of his life was spent in this country, and, until the last fifteen or twenty years, in successful and honorable business activity. He was a former resident of Nevada where he is still kindly remembered by the older residents. His funeral was numerously attended by his neighbors last Friday and his remains interred in the Walnut Grove cemetery. He leaves a wife and seven children mostly grown to manhood and womanhood and married to mourn his death. He was beloved by his family and esteemed by those who knew him.
