....Last Thursday the town witnessed an event that has happened only twice since the town was built. There were two funerals that day, both of children, one the child of Herman Beal and the other Mike Smith. The impression it made was surely a sad one, and showed us that death will come even in the glory of life....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Willie W. Beal was the son of Herman Solomon Beal and Missouri Blough. He was born 29 January 1888 and died 22 August 1890.
