Obituary.
On Monday afternoon Jan. 28, Mary Lusk Wilson fell asleep in Jesus, after an illness of only two days. She was well known and loved by all the people of Gilbert and vicinity, and will be greatly missed. She was an earnest Christian woman, and an active worker in the Congregational church of that place, of which she was a faithful member for seventeen years.
Mrs, Wilson was born in Ohio in 1843 and early in childhood moved with her parents the Stevenson Co., Ill. She was married to Frank Wilson Sept. 22, 1867 and soon after came to Story county, Iowa, where she spent the remainder of her life. She leaves a husband and one daughter to mourn her loss.
The funeral services were conducted in the Congregational church, by the pastor, Rev. Daniels. The largest company that ever assembled in the church were present.
