--Hon. Oley Nelson's mother died yesterday at her home in Sheldahl. She was 85 years of age and had drawn a pension from the Government ever since the death of her husband, who gave up his life in the defense of his adopted country.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Aase (Christensdatter) Oleson was the wife of Nels Oleson who died in the Civil War on 11 October 1862. As the Norwegian custom of patronymic surnames, their son was named Oley Nelson.
