From Nevada Representative June 20, 1888

Slater.

....Died at her home just south of town, Miss Carrie Norman in the twenty-seventh year of her age. She had only been home about three weeks form Colorado where she went three years ago for her health. After her return she seemed much better for a time, and talked confidently of being able to go back soon. But after the first excitement was over she grew rapidly worse and died Saturday, 3 A. M. She was buried Sunday, 2 P. M., Rev. Lynn conducting the services. Of a family of seven, five years ago, only two are left, the father and one daughter, who have the sympathy of the community, a very large number of which attended the funeral, there being 40 teams in the procession to the graveyard. SALLIE.
