From Nevada Representative April 18, 1888

DIED, at his residence, near Colo, Story county, Iowa, April 15th, Mr. John R. McKowen, aged 69 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was born in New Brunswick, Canada; has been a resident of Iowa 26 years, living most of the time in Polk county. In his time was a member of the M. E. church. His last words were, farewell!
