George West (1871-1888)

George, eldest son of Mrs. Maria West of Union township, died at his mother's residence, Monday night, aged seventeen years. As the result of an attack of hooping cough last fall, he had bee ailing all winter; but the acute form of pulmonary affection which proved fatal was of only a few days duration. He was his widowed mother's reliance, and in her sad loss of a worthy and promising son, she has the sympathy of the entire community.
