James Green popularly known as "Uncle Jimmy Green" died Friday evening last at the age of 76. His sickness dates back to the early summer, having been confined to his bed since July 4th. He was born in Maith county, Ireland, and came to this country soon after his marriage nearly fifty years ago. His wife and four children, Charles, of Omaha, Mary, of Stromsburg, and James and Mrs. Frazier, of Nevada, survives him. Mr. Green has been the village sexton for 29 years with the exception of a single year. He was universal favorite, not only as sexton, but in the general walks of life, and he will be long and kindly remembered by Nevada and Story county people.

The family desire to extend sincere thanks to neighbors and friends through the REPRESENTATIVE for kindly sympathy and assistance received during the illness and death of the husband and father.
