Enoch Straw, father of W. J. Straw, died Friday morning, Sept. 30th, 1887, at the advanced age of 89 years. His death was mainly the result of old age. He was a native of Maine and had been a resident of this county nineteen years. His wife to whom he was married 66 years ago, survives him, though in feeble health. The funeral exercises took place Sunday.
