John M. Brainard of the Boone Standard met with a great loss last Friday in the death of second son, Walter L. Brainard. The young man was 27 years old, married and foreman of his father's printing office. The cause of his death was typhoid fever aggravated by an injury sustained some year of more ago. The community here as well as at Boone extend sincere sympathy to Mr. Brainard and family in this severe bereavement.
