Surviving member of Co. E 3d Iowa Infantry which was enlisted in this vicinity may be interested in the following item:--Col. James Tullis of the 3d Iowa infantry, died in Lafayette, Indiana on Tuesday Sept. 13, '87. His death was caused by a complication of afflictions, all of which, doubtless originated in his long service and exposure, and the many wounds received while serving in the Union army....
