DIED.--At Zearing, Iowa, July 2nd, 1887, George Willis Guthrie, aged 33 years, 10 months and 22 days. The deceased was born in Adams Co., Ohio, August 10, 1854. He joined the German Baptist or Dunkard church in February 1870 and has ever since tryed a faithful christian life, and before leaving this world he gave the blessed assurance that he was going home to the land of the blessed. He leaves parents, brothers and sisters and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss, which is his eternal gain. The funeral was held on the following Sabbath, in the Evangelical church by Rev. W. J. Hahn, assisted by Rev. George Patton, after which he was laid to rest in the Zearing cemetery, beside his sister Ella who died last July.
