Patrick Hickey died Thursday at his home in Milford Tp., aged nearly eighty years. He was a native of Tipperary county, Ireland, but came to America when a young man, and was an old time citizen of Story county. He fought through the war for the Union, enlisting in the 19th New York Regiment, serving on the Red River, and marching with Sherman to the sea. He was an upright and interesting man and will be much missed by all who knew him. His funeral was conducted Saturday at the Catholic Church, by Rev. Father Murphy, and he was buried beside three of the children in the Protestant cemetery.
