The funeral of the infant child of D. D. Briggs was attended Sunday afternoon at the residence of Otis Briggs, the services being fittingly conducted by Mrs. M. Hull, of Des Moines. Monday morning Mr. Briggs and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Learn, who had the care of the child during its fatal illness, returned to their homes at Highmore, Dakota.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Otis Learn Briggs was the son of Dayton Dick Briggs and Hattie Lovina Learn. Hattie (Learn) Briggs had died as a result of complications of childbirth thirteen days after the Otis' birth, which was on March 8, 1886.
