From Nevada Representative September 22, 1886

Died.

Joshua Harrison died yesterday at his home in Grant township. The deceased was an old time and highly respected citizen of the county, aged 53, and served through the way in Co. A of the 3d Iowa going from Story county. He had been in ill health for some time, but the immediate cause of his death was blood-poisoning, resulting from a kick from a horse which he received about two months ago. The funeral will be held at the house to-morrow, Thursday, at ten o'clock.

In the same issue of the paper:

--The funeral of the late Joshua Harrison was attended Thursday at his late residence by many friends, including a delegation of Grand Army comrades. He was buried in the cemetery at Ames.
