Died.

Hannah Valentine, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. N. Dunkelbarger*, on Friday Morning, Sept. 3, at the age of 70 years. She was born at Friendship, Genesee Co. N. Y., March 11, 1816. In 1822 she moved to Warren Co, Penn.; and was married in 1828 to Mr. Edmond Valentine. In 1855 moved near to Genesseo, Ill., and subsequently moved to Iowa and settled at Mitchellville where her husband died March 19, 1873. She was the mother of twelve children, four sons and eight daughters, all of whom are living. She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at the age of eleven, and has ever since lived a devoted and exemplary christian life. She was always ready to witness for Christ, and to five a reason for her hope of Heaven. Her funeral was conducted by Rev. A. T. Jeffrey, on Saturday morning, and was attended by a large company of relatives and friends. Her remains were taken to Mitchellville and deposited in the family plot to await the resurrection of the just.
