From Nevada Representative June 9, 1886

Tobias Tierson, who was badly kicked by a mule two miles east of Nevada in September 1884, died of the injuries then received, at the county poor farm on Monday of last week, and was buried in the Nevada cemetery on the following Wednesday. He left a wife and boy, and was an industrious and worthy man.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to Allen's History of Story County, Iowa, Tobias Tierson died on 1 June 1886, aged 44 years.
