From Nevada Representative March 17, 1886
Mrs. Jane Wood, mother of Mrs. E. A. Wood, of Johnson's Grove, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, after having been an invalid for years, at the age of 71. Her remains were taken Monday night to Franklin Grove, Illinois for burial.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. E. A. Wood" was Charlotte Elizabeth Herrington, wife of Ezra Anson Wood. Her maiden name was Herrington, not Wood, as stated in the article.
Charlotte Elizabeth Herrington was the daughter of Anthony Wood Herrington and Jane Benson. Jane (Benson) Herrington's stone is in Lighthouse Cemetery, Daysville, Ogle County, Illinois. Although her stone bears a memorial to her husband, Anthony Wood Herrington, it also notes that he is buried in "Near Picton, Ontario" in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada which is where he and Jane were married and where their daughter, Charlotte, was born.
