Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Gary Leon Lantz was born May 10, 1942 to Alvin Leon and Odellia Margaritta (Newgaard) Lantz in Des Moines, Iowa. Gary graduated from Ballard High School and then served in the United States Army from January of 1964 to August of 1974; being stationed in Viet Nam from July of 1969 to April of 1970 and again from May of 1972 to February of 1973.

Gary passed away at 73 years of age on November 15, 2015 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Gary is survived by his two brothers, Monte (Gloria) Lantz of Huxley and Nero (Linda) Lantz of Washington State; his sister-in-law, Sandra Lantz of Washington State; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Alan Lantz.
