Laurel Joan Russell was born November 16, 1956 to James and Joan (Hahn) Fritz in Ames, Iowa.

Laurel passed away November 9, 2015 at 58 years of age.

Laurel is survived by her husband, Alan Russell of Ames; her three children, Jeffrey (Ellis) Russell of Austin, Texas, Mark Russell of Ames and Kristen (Brian) Springer of Denver, Colo.; and three sisters, Lisa Sollami of San Diego, Calif., Julie Wolf of Wilmette, Ill. and Margaret Scott of Lincoln, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
