--Mrs. Geo. Kuhn received a letter from her daughter, Mrs. Mary Dewey of Grand View, Dakota, informing her of the death, August 30th, of her youngest child.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. George Kuhn" was Mary Ann (Shearer) Kuhn. Her daughter, "Mary Dewey", was Mary Jane (Kuhn) Dewey, wife of Charles Franklin Dewey. The Dewey family lived in Douglas County, South Dakota for several years and all but one of their children were born there but the family returned to Iowa and lived in Marshall County. Charles and Mary Jane (Kuhn) Dewey are buried in Eden Cemetery near Rhodes, Iowa.
