Wm. Wakeman, who had been ailing for several weeks, was taken suddenly worse Saturday afternoon and died early Sunday morning. His disease was of a paralytic character. Mr. Wakeman was a native of Ohio, a resident for some years of Illinois, and an inhabitant of Iowa and of Story county since 1869. He was 73 years old at the time of his death. His funeral was held Monday forenoon Rev. Mr. Zeigler conducting the service. One of our old industrious peaceable and respected citizens, he will be kindly remembered by all who knew him.
