....Jas. Livingston left for Chicago recently, whence he expects to start for California. Shortly after his departure at telegram was received at Colo, announcing the sudden death of his brother at Miller, Dakota....

From Nevada Representative March 13, 1885

--Charles Livingston, son of G. W. Livingston*, accidentally shot himself through the heart while out hunting squirrels last Friday near Miller, Dakota. Mr. Livingston was about 21 years of age and had many friends in this county who will regret his untimely end.
