....Little Edith Leonard, a daughter of our deceased postmaster, died at her mother's, Mrs. Effa Lonas* in Perry the 19th nit., and was buried in our cemetery....

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Effa Laura (Potter) Leonard married William Stewart Lones on 21 May 1883 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa after the death of Edith's father, Charles Frederick Leonard on 27 May 1882 in Iowa Center, Story County, Iowa.
