....We learn that Samuel Vincent of this neighborhood is at Perry sick, and it is feared unto death His mother was sent for and went out there last week Monday evening, taking the train at Maxwell....
In the same issue under the heading:
Maxwell.
....Samuel Vincent died of hemorrhage of the lungs in Dallas county, Sunday last. The remains were brought her on the evening train and conveyed to his home near Iowa Center, Ia. It is indeed sad to be thus claimed by the band of death; in the very prime of life, as was the case with both of these young men*. Surely in the midst of life we are in death....

Samuel Vincent, mention last week as being sick at Perry, died at that place Saturday, September 22, was brought home on Sunday, and buried Monday in the cemetery at this place....
