Father Williams, ripe with about four score well spent years, died in Ames Friday. He was a supeannuated Methodist minister of the Indiana Conference. Ames has been his home for many years; and the large assembly of substantial citizens at his funeral in the Baptist church on Sunday, testified to the esteem in shich he was held by those who knew him. Rev.'s Harned, Laidley and Kendall gave addresses on the occasion. His widow and a daughter, Mrs. Isaac Black, survive him.

From Nevada Representative April 25, 1883

Milford.

....Our community grieved to hear of the death of Father Williams of Ames. He has long held a tender place in the hearts of our people and many of us will remember with pleasure and profit his stirring, practical sermons. Our sympathies are extended to this bereaved widow.
