Linda Darlene Minor, 74, of Nevada, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

Linda was born February 20, 1941, in Ames, the daughter of William and Iola (Crawford) Burton. She graduated from Ames High School and was united in marriage to Robert Earl Minor on September 23, 1961, in Nevada. Linda was a member of the Madrid E. Free Church in Madrid and enjoyed crafts, puzzles and making new friends. She loved playing games and had a competitive spirit, seldom losing.

Linda is survived by her husband, Robert of Nevada; her son, Greg (Kris) Minor of Nevada; her daughter, Dana Minor of Louisville, KY; her brother, Clarence “Butch” (Char) Burton of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Judy Kuhn of Ames; her grandchildren: Kayla (Rusty) Garland, Autumn (Cody) Holmes and Caitlin Loney; and five great-grandchildren: Paige, Lilly, Nick, Rylie and Jordyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jim Burton.

Linda has been cremated and a visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6 at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Linda.
