The remains of Bowen W. John, who was killed in the Rock Island R'Ry wreck at Casey, were brought to Maxwell last Thursday afternoon for interment. The funeral services were conducted in the C. P. church by Rev. Wilson of Davenport, Iowa. To the mind of the writer it was one among the best funeral sermons ever preached in Maxwell and we trust made a good and lasting impression on the minds of the large congregation present.
