A sad death:--Miss Ida Brakka* daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brakka*, four miles south of Maxwell, died last Friday morning, November 3. The funeral services were held in the Mt. Zion church on Sunday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Day, followed by interment in Mt. Zion cemetery. Ida was a gentle, loving young lady, and was beloved by a large circle of friends. She had many of those qualities which go to make one popular, and she will be greatly missed by the home circle where she had proved herself a devoted daughter.

Rent thee, sweet life, rest thee
Beyond the doubts and pangs of life,
Beyond the turmoil and the strife.
Rest thee.
