ANOTHER VICTIM OF FLU

The people of Colo were shocked and grieved Thursday afternoon to learn of the death of John Croker, Jr. He was taken with Spanish Influenza almost ten days ago, but was better and around out of doors the fore part of last week when he suffered a relapse and pneumonia quickly followed which resulted in death Thursday, Jan. 9., 1919. John Croker, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. John Croker Sr., was born at Nevada, Jan. 27, 1878. He was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Arnold, June 1st, 1911. Three children were born to them. Mr. Croker has spent most of his life in Colo and vicinity, where he was well and favorably known. He and his family had recently moved from a farm south of town to the E. J. Danskin place in East Colo. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife and three small children. a daughter Ytvo and two sons, Glen and Max, his parents and five brothers, P. E. of Des Moines, Jas., David, William and T. Len and two sisters, Mrs. R. H. Hopkins and Mrs. Geo. Neidert all of Colo, besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday at 9:30 a. m., from the home conducted by Father Nichols. Burial in St. James cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended by the people of this community to the bereaved ones.
