Dorothy Jean Hoff was born June 26, 1919 to Theodore and Clara (Niedert) Latch in State Center, Iowa. Dorothy graduated from State Center High School and had lived in Ames from 1937 until 1995. Dorothy and Howard E. Hoff were married in Princeton, Missouri on July 5, 1942. Howard and Dorothy were owners of the Campus Drug Store and she assisted in the business for 20 years. Dorothy was a member of United Church of Christ in Ames and the Beta Tau Delta sorority.

Dorothy passed away at 96 years of age on August 22, 2015 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jan Wyatt and Barb Ulrich; three grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard on October 24, 1997; two sisters; and three brothers.
