THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 11, 1965, page 1, column 3. "MRS. ELLEN MEYERS DIES IN HOSPITAL. - Mrs. Ellen Meyers of Maxwell, 98, died Thursday at the Story County Hospital, where she had been a patient for just one day. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p. m., at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell, Rev. O. E. Barrow officiating. Burial was in the Maxwell cemetery. She is survived only by nieces and nephews. Born August 12, 1886** in Cambridge, Iowa, she had lived most of her life in and around Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry and one son. **Editorial note - year of birth was 1866 not 1886.
