From Nevada Representative May 25, 1904
Mr. David Womack died Monday at his home in the north part of this city at an advanced age. He was one of the early settlers of the county, having located at or near Walnut Grove way back in the fifties. He removed from there in later years but returned to Nevada, where he made his home with a daughter. He was a man of worth and character and enjoyed the respect of those who knew him. He was a pensioner of account of a son who died in the army, having himself been one of the generation that was old enough not to be expected to go to the field in the war of the rebellion.
