Bert O. Estem, Slater, died

Bert O. Estrem, 78, Slater, died Monday at Veteran's Hospital, Des Moines.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from Slater Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Hohn Ness officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsdale Cemetery, Madrid.

Surivivors include two sons, Berniece and Alvin, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Howard of Ames and Art, Madrid; five sisters, Mrs. Hattie Houge, Slater; Mrs. Beatrice Anderson and Mrs. Mabel Trumbull, both of Sheldahl; Mrs. Tillie Larbgent, Fort Dodge and Mrs. Hilda VanScoy, Ames, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Riis Funeral Home, Slater, until noon Thursday.
